Welcome, CAEA Members and Friends!
As we begin the 2025–2026 school year, I am filled with excitement, gratitude, and optimism for all that lies ahead. Each year, our community of dedicated art educators shows the incredible impact that creativity, passion, and perseverance can have on students across Connecticut. This year will be no different—if anything, it will be even brighter.
Art educators are the heart of inspiration in our schools. You bring imagination to life, nurture confidence in young artists, and create classrooms where curiosity thrives. Your work matters profoundly, and CAEA is here to support you every step of the way.
This year, we look forward to expanding opportunities for professional connection, offering meaningful workshops and events, and continuing our partnership with the National Art Education Association to bring you access to outstanding national resources. Together, we’ll celebrate the power of the arts and uplift one another through shared learning, advocacy, and community.
I encourage you to stay connected, get involved, and make space for your own creativity as you inspire it in others. Whether you are a new teacher or a seasoned educator, know that you are an essential part of this vibrant network. Your voice, your artistry, and your dedication strengthen our mission and make CAEA a thriving home for art education across the state.
Here’s to a joyful, successful, and art-filled school year. Let’s embrace new possibilities, celebrate big and small victories, and continue to champion the importance of art for every student in Connecticut.
Wishing you a year full of color, creativity, and inspiration!
Warmly,
Joe Vernali
