Youth Art Month Celebration
At this time, we do not have a projected date when a return to Maloney Hall is possible. The campus has been shut down and, because campus is housing COVID first responders and the new Recreation Center has COVID hospital beds, the campus is REALLY off limits/locked down. We will let you know when you it is safe to pick up the artwork.

In March of 2020 Youth Art Celebration, an art exhibit featuring outstanding artwork created by Connecticut Art Students in grades preK-12 will take place at Central Connecticut State University. This event is specifically designed for members of the Connecticut Art Education Association, Inc. [CÆA]. The Fine Arts Center at CCSU has an excellent exhibition area that can easily display over 300 pieces of art work for our Youth Art Celebration and art show.
Join the Celebration!
Please consider the honor to display student art work from your school that will be hung next to other outstanding art works from all over Connecticut. This event, Youth Art Celebration, is organized in the interest of promoting the 21st Century skills of creativity in all children; engagement of students in your classroom; exhibiting authentic and meaningful art work of highest caliber; and developing a sense of community, and collaboration among professional art teachers. Most importantly, it is a prime venue of advocacy for art education in Connecticut by and for art teachers that are members of our professional organization, CÆA.
Looking for Volunteers
We are looking for Regional Drop Off Location volunteers to accept artwork form other art teachers in your area and then deliver the work to the YAC exhibit the day of the hanging, please contact Leslie Flowers, YAC Chair leslieflwrs@gmail.com
Please participate! Encourage your colleges to join CÆA and participate. Contact me with any news or questions.
