Call for Nominations: CAEA 2024-2026 President-Elect

The CAEA President-Elect, in conjunction with the President, Past-President and CAEA Board, guides the Association forward on behalf of CAEA’s members and their learners. As CAEA President-Elect, you have opportunities to connect with educators from across our state, gain leadership experience, and substantively contribute to our profession and our communities.
We invite YOU to help shape the future of CAEA.

The CAEA Board of Directors is accepting nominations for the following position:

President-Elect:  Nomination deadline: June 15, 2025

A President-Elect:
  • Is a current member of CAEA/NAEA,
  • Possesses a reasonable knowledge of the workings and structure of a board of directors,
  • Possesses a clear understanding of why they would like to serve as President-Elect until June 30, 2024; as President from July 1, 2024-June 30, 2026, and then as Past President from July 1 2026-June 30, 2028.
  • Supports CAEA’s Mission along with its goals relating to Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion.
  • Trains with the President/Co-President by attending Board Meetings
  • Serves as a member of the planning committee for andd attends yearly CÆA Fall Conference
  • Attends NAEA National Convention, Team East Region Retreat and CÆA Awards Presentation.
  • Plans Spring CAEA Leadership Retreat.
  • Represents Connecticut at Delegates Assembly at the NAEA National Convention if there is no co-president.
  • Performs all the duties of the President in the President's absence
